Publicly Available Information
Please be aware that any content, including but not limited to information, videos, images, data, text, documents, and other materials that you post on a public area of our Site, such as our blog, will be considered as publicly published content. This means that the information you post will be available to all users of that public area of the Site, even if it includes your Personal Information. We strongly advise you to use caution and discretion when posting any personal information or content on our Site.
 
Personal Information the App Collects
Upon installation of the App, we may automatically access certain information from your Shopify account. In addition, we may collect personal information from you and your customers, including data such as IP address, web browser details, time zone, and cookie information. This information is collected directly from the individual, through your Shopify account, or through the use of technologies such as cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, and pixels. We also use hotjar.com to record visitor sessions but note that Hotjar is GDPR compliant and hides data within the app. To review the specific permissions granted to each app, please click the "View Details" link on the Shopify apps page in your Shopify admin.
 
The Way We Use Personal Information
 
It's important to note that by submitting Personal Information through the Site, you are consenting to the use and disclosure of your information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. This includes the possibility of your information being transferred to other countries around the world if necessary to provide the services you have requested.
Dondy Service Provider will use your Personal Information to improve services, contact you, and authenticate your access to the Site's services. Your information may also be transferred to third-party service providers for the purposes of processing credit cards or providing customer service through a chat feature, and we require that these parties agree to process such information in compliance with our Privacy Policy.
We may also use your email address to send you updates, newsletters, educational materials, or special offers, but you can choose not to receive these emails by following the unsubscribe mechanism within the email or sending a single email with the subject "UNSUBSCRIBE" to support@dondy.net.

In certain circumstances, we may disclose your Personal Information or any information you submitted via the Site and its services to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, or to enforce our Terms of Service or protect against fraud, security issues, or harm to the rights, property, or safety of Dondy Service Provider, its users, yourself, or the public.
 
The Way We Use Anonymous Information
We may use Anonymous Information (as defined below), or disclose it to third-party service providers, to improve our services and enhance your experience with the Site and its services. “Anonymous Information” means information that does not enable identification of an individual user, such as aggregated information about the use of our Site and services.
Choice

Providing Personal Information to the Site is optional and entirely up to you. However, please note that certain options, offers, and services on the Site may require the provision of Personal Information, and if you choose not to provide it, you may not be able to access those features. You can still visit many parts of the Site without providing any Personal Information.

If you have an Account, you can log in and modify your personal profile by adding or deleting information, or correcting any inaccuracies. We may retain certain Personal Information even after an account is closed to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraudulent activities, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, investigate and troubleshoot issues, enforce our User Agreement, or take other actions permitted by law.

From time to time, we may revise and update this Privacy Policy to ensure that it accurately reflects our current privacy practices and any changes to our operations, legal requirements, or industry standards. Any changes we make to this policy will be posted on this page, and we encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed of any updates. Your continued use of the Site after we make any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
 
Google user data (Gmail)
Dondy lets you connect your business Gmail account so customer emails appear in your Dondy inbox alongside your WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook messages. Connecting is entirely optional, and nothing happens until you choose to do it.

What we can see
When you connect a mailbox, Google asks you to grant Dondy two permissions:
  - Reading your email — so we can show your customer emails, including attachments, inside Dondy.
  - Sending email for you — so replies you write in Dondy are sent from your own address, and your customer receives them as a normal reply in the same conversation.
We only ever access the single mailbox you connect. We cannot see any other part of your Google account - not your Drive, your contacts, or your calendar.

What we do with it
We use your email only to run your Dondy inbox: to show you the messages your customers send, and to send the replies you write. If you switch on our AI assistant, it reads a message in order to suggest a reply to that same conversation.

What we never do
- We never sell your email, or your customers' email.
- We never use it for advertising, or to build advertising profiles.
- We never use it for anything other than running your Dondy inbox.

Who else can see it
No one outside Dondy uses your email data. We don't sell it, we don't share it for advertising, and we never give anyone access to it for their own purposes.

AI and machine learning
We do not use your Google Workspace data - including your Gmail messages, attachments or contacts — to develop, improve, or train generalised or non-personalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
If you switch on Dondy's AI assistant, the text of a message is used only to generate a suggested reply for that same conversation, and only for you. It is never used to train models, and never used to benefit any other Dondy customer.

How we keep it safe
- Your email is encrypted while it travels between Google, Dondy and your browser.
- It is stored in encrypted form, so it cannot be read from our storage.
- The permission Google gives us is kept in a secure vault, held separately for every business, and never shown in your browser.
- Only a small number of authorised staff can reach our systems, each with their own login, and only when it is needed to keep Dondy running or to help you.
- Your data is kept separate from every other business using Dondy. No other Dondy customer can ever see your mailbox or your messages.

How long we keep it, and how to remove it
You can disconnect your mailbox at any time in Dondy's settings, or uninstall the Dondy app. When you do, we immediately cancel our access with Google and delete the permission we were given.
You can also remove Dondy's access directly from your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Google's Limited Use requirements
we only use the email data Google gives us to run your Dondy inbox - nothing else.
Dondy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
